Part 3: Kuala Lumpur and then Maldives?

Seoul to Kuala Lumpur

After celebrating Chuseok in Seoul, we set off for the next chapter of our journey which is somewhat a last minute change of plans but that’s where flexibility and open-mindedness come in. We reposition ourselves for one night in Kuala Lumpur at Hotel Stripes. This is because we originally wanted to stay in Seoul for longer before heading to Kuala Lumpur but with the Maldives hotel prices similar to Seoul, we just had to do some mental gymnastics in the planning process to make it work. Coincidentally enough, Kuala Lumpur also has direct flights to Maldives and we just had to jump on this once in a lifetime opportunity.

We will be arriving in Kuala Lumpur late afternoon and not much time to explore the city before next morning’s flight. The reason we chose Hotel Stripes for this one night is because we will be spending 5 more nights after Maldives so we can keep our luggage with the hotel until we get back. However, our one-night stay is still planned to maximize the experience of this vibrant city. An evening stroll through the bustling streets to the Petronas Towers, where we will marvel at the architectural brilliance and enjoy the view from the Skybridge. A visit to a famous food street, providing a culinary adventure as we savor local delicacies and immerse ourselves in the city’s rich gastronomic culture is still in the books.

Kuala Lumpur to Maldives!!

The next day, refreshed and inspired by our brief but enriching Kuala Lumpur experience, we will head back to the airport for our flight to the Maldives. I’m sure this will be a highly anticipated leg of our journey as we approach our five-night stay at the luxurious Le Meridien Maldives. We are most excited about being greeted with breathtaking views of crystal-clear waters, pristine white-sand beaches, and lush tropical greenery. We booked one of the resort’s overwater villas which offers a perfect blend of modern comfort and natural beauty, creating an idyllic setting for relaxation and romance.

At Le Meridien Maldives, we believe we will indulge in the ultimate luxury experience. Some plans include time spent snorkeling in the vibrant coral reefs, enjoying spa treatments, and lounging by the pool. The resort’s dining options is still something we have yet to figure out but we are sure each meal will be unforgettable. Whether embarking on a sunset cruise, exploring the underwater world, or simply unwinding in our private villa, every moment is designed to create lasting memories. This Maldivian retreat provides a perfect rest stop to our journey, combining tranquility, adventure, and unparalleled luxury.
